Self2Chat provides temporary chat rooms (no registration) and an Archive account for long-term storage of messages and files.

We collect only the information needed to provide the service:

Chat content: Messages and files in temporary chats while the room is active.
Archive content: Files and messages you save in your account archive.
Account data: Email address, encrypted password, and account settings.
Technical information: Device identifiers, IP address, and logs used for security and abuse prevention.
Payment data: Invoice IDs, plan, amount, and payment status (we do not store card details).
Usage data: Anonymous analytics about how the service is used.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data unless you provide it in content.

Retention depends on the feature you use:

Temporary chats are deleted after the room expires (default 30 minutes; may be extended by the user).
Archive items stay until you delete them or close your account.
Unverified accounts may be removed after the verification period.
Deleted archive items are removed from storage after processing.

Files uploaded to the Archive pass through automated antivirus and moderation checks before permanent storage. Unsafe files are blocked.
